This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq stocks whose volume today is more than twice their 21-day average, sorted by relative volume, excluding penny stocks and illiquid names. High relative volume is the starting point of most day-trading scans: it points to news, earnings or breakouts, and brings the liquidity and range that intraday setups need. Combine it with a gap, a break of the opening range or a new high to find trade candidates.
