New ready-made stock screens |
| 10/16/2026 |
The sidebar now has a new Stock Screens section with 210 ready-made screens in 18 groups: Market Overview, Market Movers, Day Trading, Swing Trading, Trend Following, Smart Money, Minervini, SMC & Wyckoff, Elliott Wave, Chart Patterns, Bearish Setups, Earnings & IPOs, Growth Stocks, Dividend Stocks, Value Investing, Sectors & Themes, Sector Leaders and ETF Screener. Each screen explains what it looks for and shows the results right away, for example Top Gainers, Cup and Handle or the Elliott Wave setups. Use the tabs above the results to switch between US, Canada, UK, Europe, India, Asia and Crypto, or pick one of the other markets from the list. Every screen is built on a formula that is shown under its description: click Edit Formula to open it in the Formula Screener and adjust the conditions, set an alert or backtest it, or click Let AI Explain & Customize to have the AI Stock Screener explain the screen and tailor it to your needs. |

New Elliott Wave functions |
| 10/12/2026 |
The Formula Screener now includes Elliott Wave functions that find 5-wave impulse patterns automatically. Use elliott_5up and elliott_5down for a completed 5-wave up or down impulse, and elliott_5up_3down and elliott_5down_3up for an impulse followed by an A-B-C correction. To catch a move early, elliott_3up_start, elliott_5up_start, elliott_3down_start and elliott_5down_start flag stocks where wave 3 or wave 5 may be starting. All functions take the same optional parameters: pivot bars, lookback bars (up to 250) and the maximum age of the signal in bars. The defaults are (7, 128, 7). For example, elliott_3up_start(7, 128, 7) and price > sma(200) finds potential wave 3 starts in stocks trading above their 200-day average. To get started without writing a formula, open the new Elliott Wave section of preset stock screens in the sidebar. |

Watch List Icons in Charts |
| 9/23/2026 |
You can now assign a custom icon to each watch list from the watch list editing page. These icons make it easier to identify your watch lists at a glance. In the Stock Screener results, switch to the Charts view to display all matching tickers as charts. Turn Toolbar: On to display a toolbar on each chart with convenient actions. The toolbar now also shows the icons of all watch lists that contain the ticker, making it easy to see which lists the stock belongs to. You can also use the toolbar to quickly add the ticker to a watch list or trading portfolio. |

Assign Icons to Watch Lists |
| 9/8/2026 |
You can now assign an icon to each watch list directly from the Watch List page. The selected icons are displayed on the My Watch Lists page, making it easier to quickly identify and find the watch list you need. |

AI Stock Screener |
| 7/7/2026 |
The AI Stock Screener allows you to describe your ideal stock setup in plain English. To get started, simply type what you are looking for. For example, you could say: oversold tech stocks above their 200-day moving average or small caps with strong revenue growth near 52-week highs. Because the screener understands natural language, there is no learning curve — your ideas can turn into results in just seconds. The AI doesn`t only provide results; it also shows you the underlying formula. You can easily send this information to the Formula Screener to manually refine the conditions and thresholds, then save it for future use. |

New all-time high/low & distance functions |
| 5/23/2026 |
The Formula Screener now includes new functions for tracking year-to-date performance, identifying all-time highs and lows, and measuring price distance from important price levels. Use ytd to return the year-to-date price % change. Detect new highs and lows with new_ath, new_atl, new_athc, and new_atlc, which return True when the latest bar or closing price reaches a new all-time high or low. Measure how far the current price is trading from historical extremes using off_ath and off_atl, or calculate the % distance from recent highs and lows over a custom lookback period with functions like off_high(21) and off_low(21). |

Important: ROC Indicator Changed to Percentage Scale |
| 5/18/2026 |
To maintain consistency with technical indicators, the Rate of Change (ROC) indicator will now be expressed as a percentage instead of a fraction. For instance, if a stock`s price has increased by 5% over the past 10 days, the ROC(10) will be reported as 5, rather than 0.05 as it was previously. Custom screeners and backtests have been updated accordingly, but we recommend reviewing any that utilize the ROC indicator to ensure accuracy. If you need further information or have any questions regarding this change, please feel free to contact us; we are happy to assist you. |

Choose Between Adjusted and Unadjusted Data |
| 5/5/2026 |
MarketInOut has always used dividend-adjusted data across all tools to eliminate misleading price gaps and ensure more accurate stock screening and technical analysis. Now, you`re in control. You can choose whether to work with adjusted or unadjusted data, depending on your strategy and preferences. By default, MarketInOut will continue to use dividend-adjusted data. To switch to unadjusted data, simply turn off Adjust data for dividends in the Chart Template settings, on the Stock Chart page, or directly from the chart`s bottom panel. For screening based on unadjusted data, you can use the @unadj operator in the Formula Screener. For example, the (price > sma(50) and sma(50) > sma(200))@unadj expression reads that the SMA condition will work on unadjusted data. Or, the nh_200 and (sma(50) > sma(200))@weeks@unadj expression means that the price has reached a new 200-day high on adjusted prices, and the SMA condition is met on weekly periods on unadjusted data. |

One-click watchlist add |
| 4/6/2026 |
You can now add tickers to your watchlist with a single click. Enable the new Add to watchlist with one click option in Settings to skip the selection dialog. When turned on, clicking a ticker name in the Charts view (on the stock screener results page) will instantly add it to your most recently used watchlist. Prefer using the dialog? You can still access it anytime with the W + Click shortcut. |

Filter to display only unviewed tickers |
| 2/17/2026 |
A new option has been added to the stock screener results page that allows users to display only unviewed tickers. When this option is enabled, any tickers marked as viewed will be filtered out. It's important to note that viewed in this context only applies to the current trading session. In tomorrow's trading session, all tickers will be treated as unviewed again. Additionally, the Reset button will forcibly clear the list of viewed tickers. |

New stock exchanges added |
| 1/22/2026 |
The following stock exchanges have been added to the platform: Taiwan Stock Exchange, B3 (Sao Paulo, Brazil), Istanbul Stock Exchange (Borsa Istanbul), and Nasdaq Copenhagen. For them, all the same functionality is available as for other exchanges. To screen these exchanges, select the appropriate items in the Stock Universe criteria category of the Stock Screener tool. Or, in a formulaic expression, you can refer to them by tai, sao, ist, and cph correspondingly. For example, the exch(tai, sao) indicates all stocks from the Taiwan and Sao Paulo stock exchanges. |
