This screen lists stocks on Asian exchanges that opened more than 5% below the previous close today, biggest gaps first. Gap downs usually follow bad news released outside trading hours, such as weak earnings, a guidance cut or a downgrade. Some keep falling as holders exit, while others recover as bargain hunters step in, so watch how the price behaves after the open. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
