Gap Down

This screen lists stocks on European exchanges that opened more than 5% below the previous close today, biggest gaps first. Gap downs usually follow bad news released outside trading hours, such as weak earnings, a guidance cut or a downgrade. Some keep falling as holders exit, while others recover as bargain hunters step in, so watch how the price behaves after the open. Prices are in euros, and the list covers stocks traded on Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan and the Madrid Stock Exchange with at least 0.5 million euros in average daily trading value.
