This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq stocks whose Bollinger Bands (20, 2) have narrowed to less than 40% of their average width over the last 50 days, excluding penny stocks and illiquid names. Volatility moves in cycles, and quiet periods are often followed by strong moves. The squeeze does not tell the direction, so traders watch for a close outside the bands on rising volume to time the breakout.
