This is step 1 of a seven-step Minervini ladder in which every screen keeps all the conditions of the one before it. It lists stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange whose price is above the 200-day simple moving average while the average itself is higher than a month ago. Mark Minervini buys only stocks in a Stage 2 uptrend, and a rising 200-day line is its foundation: below a falling 200-day line a stock is in a Stage 4 decline, however cheap it looks. The next steps narrow this list to the Stage 2 Uptrend, the Trend Template, VCP setups and breakouts. Prices are in Indian rupees, and the list covers BSE-listed stocks with at least 50 million rupees in average daily trading value.
