This screen ranks stocks on European exchanges by return on invested capital (ROIC), highest first, and shows the top 100. ROIC measures how much profit a company earns on the debt and equity invested in it, and a ROIC well above the cost of capital is a mark of a high-quality business with a competitive edge. Very high values can come from a small capital base, so check consistency over several years. Prices are in euros, and the list covers stocks traded on Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan and the Madrid Stock Exchange with at least 0.5 million euros in average daily trading value.
