Stan Weinstein split every stock cycle into four stages, and Mark Minervini buys only in Stage 2, the advancing phase. This is step 2 of the Minervini ladder: it keeps the rising 200-day moving average from step 1 and adds the moving average alignment of the Trend Template, so the list shows stocks on the London Stock Exchange whose price is above the 50-day simple moving average, the 50-day is above the 150-day and the 150-day is above the 200-day. When all lines are stacked in this order, the trend is up on every time frame. Step 3, the Trend Template, adds the 52-week range and relative strength tests. LSE prices are quoted in pence, and the list skips thinly traded shares.
