The Cup and Handle is a bullish continuation pattern described by William O'Neil. The price forms a rounded, U-shaped base, the cup, after a prior advance, then a smaller pullback near the old high, the handle, on light volume. A breakout above the handle's high on strong volume completes the pattern and often starts a new uptrend.
