This screen ranks stocks on Asian exchanges by return on invested capital (ROIC), highest first, and shows the top 100. ROIC measures how much profit a company earns on the debt and equity invested in it, and a ROIC well above the cost of capital is a mark of a high-quality business with a competitive edge. Very high values can come from a small capital base, so check consistency over several years. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
