Golden Cross

India

A golden cross happens when the 50-day simple moving average crosses above the 200-day simple moving average. It shows that the medium-term trend has turned up strongly enough to overtake the long-term trend, and many investors treat it as a long-term buy signal. This screen lists stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange where the cross happened on the latest bar. Prices are in Indian rupees, and the list covers BSE-listed stocks with at least 50 million rupees in average daily trading value.

Screening formula:
exch(bse) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 50 and sma(50) ca sma(200) and sortby(ticker) and show(sma(50) as sma50, sma(200) as sma200)
