5 Up + ABC

India

In Elliott Wave theory a 5-wave impulse is followed by a 3-wave correction labelled A, B and C. This screen lists stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange where a completed 5-wave up impulse was followed by a drop (wave A), a rebound that stayed below the wave 5 high (wave B) and a second drop below the end of wave A (wave C). Wave C ended 7 to 14 bars ago, is still the lowest close since wave B and retraced no more than 78% of the whole impulse, so the uptrend structure is still intact. The impulse follows the core Elliott rules on closing prices: wave 2 never falls below the start of wave 1, wave 4 stays above the top of wave 1, wave 3 is not the shortest of the three advancing waves, and wave 5 ends above wave 3. The end of a correction is where the next advance may begin, which makes these stocks candidates for a new up move. Because these signals are rare, the list includes all stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange, with no price or liquidity filter.
