Descending Triangle

Canada

A descending triangle forms when price makes lower highs against flat support, as sellers press harder on each rally. It is usually read as bearish, and a close below support signals the breakdown. This screen lists stocks on the Toronto Stock Exchange where a descending triangle pattern was identified on one of the last five bars, most actively traded first. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the list covers TSX-listed stocks with at least C$1 million in average daily trading value.

Screening formula:
exch(tsx) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 1 and (desc_triangle)@[0..4] and sortby(advol(5), desc) and show(advol(5) as turnover_5d_m)
