This screen lists stocks on Asian exchanges whose 14-day Average True Range (ATR) has been trending up over the last 7 bars. ATR measures how far the price moves in a typical bar, so a rising ATR shows that volatility is expanding. Swing traders look for expanding ranges because they often come at the start of a breakout or a new trend, and they size stops by ATR. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
