Accelerating Earnings

US

Earnings acceleration means profit growth is speeding up: each quarter grows faster than the one before, compared with the same quarter a year earlier. William O'Neil found that many of the biggest winners showed accelerating earnings before their largest advances; it is the "C" in CAN SLIM. This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq stocks whose year-over-year EPS growth increased in each of the last three reported quarters, with profitable latest and year-ago quarters, fastest growth first. Penny stocks and illiquid names are excluded.

Screening formula:
exch(nyse,nasdaq) and type(stock) and price > 1 and advol(21) > 1 and eps_qtr > 0 and eps_qtr[4] >= 0.05 and eps_yoy > eps_yoy[1] and eps_yoy[1] > eps_yoy[2] and eps_yoy[2] > 0 and draw(earnrep) and sortby(eps_yoy, desc) and show(eps_yoy as eps_growth, eps_yoy[1] as eps_growth_q1, eps_yoy[2] as eps_growth_q2)
