The Head and Shoulders is a bearish reversal pattern made of three peaks: a higher middle peak, the head, between two lower peaks of similar height, the shoulders. A line through the lows between the peaks forms the neckline. When the price breaks below the neckline after an uptrend, the pattern is complete, and traders often project a decline equal to the distance from the head to the neckline.
