A Flag is a continuation pattern that forms after a sharp price move, the flagpole. The price then drifts in a small rectangle or channel that slopes slightly against the trend, usually on lower volume. In an uptrend, a bull flag is completed by a breakout above the top of the flag, which often resumes the advance with a move similar to the flagpole.
