A Double Top is a bearish reversal pattern shaped like the letter M: the price rises to a high, pulls back, rallies again to about the same level and then falls. The two equal highs show that buyers twice failed to push the price higher. The pattern is confirmed when the price breaks below the trough between the two highs, and that level often turns into resistance.
