Death Cross

Europe

A death cross happens when the 50-day simple moving average crosses below the 200-day simple moving average. It shows that the medium-term trend has weakened below the long-term trend, and many investors read it as a warning of a deeper decline. This screen lists stocks on European exchanges where the cross happened on the latest bar. Prices are in euros, and the list covers stocks traded on Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan and the Madrid Stock Exchange with at least 0.5 million euros in average daily trading value.

Screening formula:
exch(xetra,bme,mil,par,ams) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 0.5 and sma(50) cb sma(200)
