Price Alert FAQ

What is a price alert?

A price alert sends you a message when the price of a symbol rises above or falls below the level you set, so you can react to a breakout or reach your target price without watching the screen.

How do I set up a price alert?

Enter the symbol, choose above or below, type the price level, select the alert type and the delivery channels, and click Set Up.

How will I receive the alert?

By email, SMS or Telegram messenger. You can choose one or more channels for each alert. For SMS, add your mobile number in My Account, and for Telegram, follow the setup steps on the Telegram page.

What is the difference between a Once and a Continuous alert?

A Once alert is sent the first time the condition is met and then stops. A Continuous alert keeps watching and notifies you every time the condition is met again.

What does the end-of-day option do?

When it is checked, the price level is compared with the closing price after the session ends, so a brief intraday spike does not trigger the alert. Otherwise the price is checked during the trading session.

What is the difference between a price alert and a trade alert?

A price alert watches a single price level. A trade alert watches a technical signal, such as an indicator crossover, a moving average breakout or a chart pattern.

Why did I not receive an email alert?

Check your spam or junk folder and add the sender to your contacts. Also make sure that the email delivery option is checked for the alert.
